Off we go!

Today proved to be a sleepy day for Greta, but she was very welcoming and happy to meet more new faces.  Mimi came in to visit and hold down the fort in our absence...and while I am moving slower.

Mimi was very excited to meet grand baby #6!  4 girls and 2 boys now!
More sister snuggles-- Gwen is all about holding and kissing her sister
Aunt Leah came to say hi too!
Uncle Joe had his turn, before Leah took Greta back:-)

Our little sweetheart
Friday afternoon we headed home to sleep in our own beds and get Greta used to the noise of home...hopefully she already is used to it!  It will be a switch having 3 kiddos at home, but it will be nothing Brad and I can't handle together.

"What is this?  I hope they let me out soon!"
Wyatt's welcome sign
Gwen made one too
Ahhh! We are home!
Greta's announcement on the hospital website has appeared! I thought Gwen and Wyatt's pictures were cute, but sorry guys, this one is the best!

Welcome Greta Louise Tempel

We would like to introduce Greta Louise Tempel!  She was born at 3:32 pm EST at Jasper Memorial Hospital.  She was 6 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19 inches long.  Everything went very well for mom and baby.  Greta's umbilical cord was confirmed to be a 2 vessel cord with 1 artery and 1 vein (and was a very good teaching tool for the nurses and the doctor that delivered).

Our little peanut
Sweet Greta getting her first snuggles
After her first bath, Greta was ready for time with Daddy...he was just as ready:-)
Later in the evening, Greta had her first visitors!

She is very sleepy
Our family of 5!

Never a dull moment!

With us just 1 day before I am to be induced, we needed to add a little more to our schedule.  Wyatt attempted to learn to ride without training wheels...we will have to try again later.  Gwen needed to have an EEG this morning after having a number of scary nighttime episodes where she couldn't breathe.  I am happy to report that the episodes have not happened again in the last week, but we still can't figure out why they happened in the first place.  The EEG was done to rule out seizures, so we will find out more next week.  With both of these activities done, now it is time to focus on having a baby:-)  We head to the hospital tomorrow morning at 5 am to hopefully start labor by 6:30!

Don't let go Uncle Joe!
Gwen sported a fancy new hat this morning--They wanted her sleep deprived so she stayed up all night with Gram.  Once ready to go, she was told to close her eyes and rest; she was asleep within 2 minutes and slept through the whole thing!
We also made one last trip to Holiday World for food and a good walk- last time without a stroller and just 2 kiddos!  On the way out, Gwen noted that it is a full moon tonight, let's hope here is room for us tomorrow at the inn!

Only 10 more days!

With only 10 days to go until our delivery day on June 3rd, we decided to have a little fun!
Baby update--a little late but here is our 36 week pic!  Our appointment update from this week-ultrasound went very well, Peanut is estimated to be 5 lbs 13 oz-still measuring small but we still have more time to put on more weight.  Delivery day has been set for June 3rd!

We have spent time making crazy train tracks
Spending time with the boys putting up hay
Having a girls day!
Beautiful nails for a beautiful big sister!

Our own Frozen Fever

Gwen wanted a birthday party, and even though it is a little late, I kept my promise for a Frozen party.  It started with some food...
Rainbow cupcakes...
Frozen punch with "we finish each others sandwiches"
Do you want to build a snowman?
Kristof's jello ice, cupcakes, snowballs, and frozen hearts :)  (Gotta love Pinterest)
The ladies arrived--Guests of honor included Sophia, Gwen, Gracie, Abigail, and Wyatt
And then Elsa, Anna, Elsa, Elsa, and Olaf showed up after lunch!
Gwen came up with the games--1st up-Frozen Fever Freeze Dance!

Then for some do you want to build a snow man!
Gwen was a little embarrassed by how her Olaf turned out
Wyatt was very proud of his Olaf!

What came next was actually my idea--play snow which was a combination of cornstarch and shaving cream...sounds good right?

They loved it!

Look at this snowman!
Wyatt found a way to include tractors of course
Frozen Fever party--was a success!!!!!

Matilda

The story of Matilda started the Thursday before Mother's Day when she arrived to use from Louisville.  Matilda is a 13 year old llama that has spent all her life watching over alpacas, she now will watch over Joey's sheep...except she is a little scared of them since she has never seen sheep.  Upon her arrival, Matilda escaped the corral and took off down the road and into the woods.  Brad took off after her and his cousin Kevin (who conveniently lives down the road) blocked her from going further.  Matilda outsmarted them both and went into the woods!  Eventually, Kevin was able to distract her enough for Brad to lasso her and then walked her back to her new home.  It was quite the day!

Needless to say, Matilda got out again on Mother's Day to go for another walk when she noticed she could jump over the fence.  I am happy to report that Matilda is feeling more comfortable with the sheep and hasn't attempted to go for any more walks.  She is getting used to the sheep and the kids.  It will just take time.

Wyatt has been taking Matilda for walks inside the fence

Gwen has been working to feed her

Sweet Charlie Farmer Pants!!!!!  That is one handsome little dude!
