Wyatt's Baptism

A lot has been going on lately here in Indiana. School finished May 31st (and not a moment too soon), so now I am home to be busy with my babies. Wyatt has been up to learning new tricks, he can roll from his front to his back on occasion, and now is trying to work his ab muscles to sit up on his own.
"Did someone turn on my favorite show! Let me sit up so I can get a better look"
He loves T.V. already too which isn't great, but we can work with it!
Gwen loves Wyatt to pieces
Wyatt is working on tummy time, but of course, he prefers his back and pulling his legs up and kicking things
Thank goodness Wyatt is a great sleeper because our house is rarely quiet. Even while he naps, Gwen turns into a fairy and has a dance show!
June 4th was Wyatt's baptism and we had company come in for the occasion! Bubba, Gammy, Auntie Erin, and Lilly came to play with us!
Everyone getting ready to head outside
Gwen wanted to show off her leading skills with Charlie Horse. I think there were too many people around, but Charlie wasn't wanted to walk with Gwen on Saturday.
Lilly was taking it all in. She was able to see real goats for the first time!
Wyatt was just loving getting some time outside with Auntie Ashley
Joey stacked hay bales in the barn almost to the ceiling! He even made a tunnel for Gwen to crawl through!

The Caseys that were there
"I'm wearing Daddy's dress...I don't know what to think about this..."
The Tempels that were there (Ty was here too, but behind the camera)
" Baby Jesus and I love you Wyatt!"
During the baptism, the priest put oil on Wyatt's head and then had all of us smell the distinct smell. Gwen commented "Mommy, that is very stinky" When asked later about it, she replied, "No, Jesus wouldn't make Wyatt stinky."

"Gwen, you have amazing taste in jewelry!"
On your mark. Get set. Go!!!!!!!
Gwen loved showing Lilly Play Park!
"Lilly, this is how you fly to Chicago"
Just monkeying around!

It was a wonderful weekend and we are so happy that so many of our family could be there with us! Auntie Kelley and Uncle Don Don...you were there in spirit!!!! We love you all!

Almost summer!

Summer is coming....I can almost taste it!!!! The weather is getting warmer, school is 1 week and a day from being out, and we made our first trip to Holiday World! As always, Gwen is entertaining us too. Most days she is demanding attention from everyone, so it is pretty hard to miss her.
Gwen striking a pose. Check out her slinky belts! Very fashionable!
Here is one afternoon with Gwen...actually it was about 10 minutes :-)

This morning we finally went to Holiday World. The park opened 2 weeks ago, but with our busy schedules and rain last week, we are just making it there. Gwen tried to contain her excitement this morning that the sun was shining (which meant we could go) and tried to play nicely while I took care of Wyatt. She was totally cool when Brad found her with her water pen and coloring pad completely soaked! Her response to my "Gwen look at your shirt, it is all wet because you used too much water," was "It'll dry, Mom. Don't worry." Brad and I had a very hard time fighting back our laughter!
Someone is a little excited!

First thing on the list...ride the ponies!
Wyatt's first carousel ride!
Next the train!
Wyatt's on the train too!

Wyatt was a little overwhelmed by Gwen's excitement at first, but he loved the hour we were there. We made one more stop after the train to the kiddie park and played. Gwen was having so much fun it was hard to pull her away to go home. A little girl, probably about 4, even commented to Gwen that she looked grumpy. She got over it because we had places to be today...we had a birthday party this afternoon! Luke, a cousin's son, will be 1 on Memorial day so we were having a party! Gwen loved getting to run around and play with all the other little kids and I loved hanging out with the adults. Wyatt loved being passed around and passed out.

Happy Mother's Day and Wyatt is 2 months old!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the amazing Moms in our lives! Life could not be the same without you and your love!!!!! It is amazing to think about how much we love our kids and what we will do for them...I just can't get enough of my babies and I am sure we all feel the same way!

Life has kept me busy this week. We put our house on the market to find something in Santa Claus, IN in a quieter neighborhood and less house maintenance :-). I have spent all my afternoons painting, landscaping, and cleaning house. I also went back to work Monday which wasn't the easiest of things to do. I have been loving the flexibility of my schedule at home and now having to get up at a specific time is REALLY hard! I have 11 more days until break and I can't wait! Wyatt turned 2 months old on Monday and has also been giving us beautiful smiles (and we are so lucky when we catch them!).
"I'm 2 months old!"
"Gwen, are you going to keep talking? When will it be my turn?"
Some babies like to be swaddled...mine are anti-swaddlers!
Gwen says he "looks like a star!"
Gwen initially was getting Wyatt to smile and I was trying to catch it on video, but the conversation we had was just as cute!

Purdue Rodeo 2011

On our way back home from Chicago, we stopped in at the Purdue Rodeo Club's Rodeo! Joey and his club did a great job organizing it. Wyatt cuddled with everyone during the event, it was interesting trying to find a place to warm up his bottles, while Gwen had tons of fun!!!! There weren't pony rides on Saturday this year, but the inflatable slide made up for it!!
Auntie Ashley and Gwen loved playing on the slide!

Someone is ready for Holiday World's rides!

Wyatt's first trip to Chicago!

Gwen and Wyatt had a great time visiting Gammy and Bubba in Chicago over the long weekend last week. Brad wasn't working Thursday through Sunday, so we packed up and headed north...also hoping the rain wouldn't follow us.
Gwen was very excited to be packing for the trip, Wyatt wasn't too sure
During one of our breaks, Wyatt took to the wheel
Gwen was loving the movie day! Thank you Disney!
Wyatt was showing signs the next morning that it had been a long day for him
Friday morning we went to visit Auntie Erin and Lilly...finally Auntie Erin has a turn to hold Wyatt!
Later we went to visit Grandma Delores and play with Bubba at the park. Gwen was climbing Rapunzel's tower
After dessert, Gwen showed off her musical/poetry talents with Bubba
Saturday morning during some tummy time Wyatt rolled over!!!!! First he surprised us by rolling to the right and then to the left!!!! He may even have surprised himself by the look on his face :-)
Check out the video for proof!!!!
Auntie Erin came over again to get more cuddle time with Wyatt and play time with Gwen
Gwen kept Bubba very busy while we were visiting! They also did a great job decorating the driveway!
"I like to move it, move it!!!!!" Entertainment at it's best...a 3 year old and bubble wrap!
The girls loved playing with the piano together
Wyatt rolls over!!!!!! (4/30/11)

Happy Easter 2011

I know it is past Easter, but we all wanted to wish our family and friends a very Happy Easter!
We had a lot of fun the week before Easter while Gammy came to visit and be our nanny--thank you again for all your help! Enjoy the pictures :-)
Wyatt may be a boy, but with all the extra care he needs he could be a Diva too (He doesn't like the idea of being called a Diva though)
Gammy enjoyed lots of quality time with Wyatt while she was here. She gave him almost every bottle, changed almost every diaper, and held him every chance she could
Gwen even got a surprise present from Gammy and Bubba! A sleeping bag with ponies all over it! She loves it so much, we had to put it on her bed!
Happy Easter!
Due to the rain, Gwen had an egg hunt inside this year at our house!
The Easter Bunny brought her a Rapunzel dress and Barbie!
Joey and his buddies taking a rest after eating too much brunch
Gram's Easter Bunny was brave and put the eggs outside. Gwen had to be fast before the rain started up again!
Wyatt even got an egg--with $5 inside! Good job Wyatt!
