Family Picture Day!

Every year we attempt a family picture with Brad's mom to see how we change....it is getting trickier every year!  This year it has taken us until this fall to get us all healthy and ready for the photo shoot.  You decide what is your favorite...these are all of mine!

Happy Halloween and more!

October is moving fast, and our house happens are finally underway!  In just a few weeks, so many things have gone on between our new house, school, and Halloween :-)
For those of you who never saw one...this is what a finished Presby septic system looks like.  We will plant grass over it, spray paint the pipes that are exposed to allow for air to go in and out, and forget that it is there!
Wall forms are going up!  The exterior wall forms are all in place and the rebar supports are in, we just need the interior forms to be installed and the concrete truck can return:-)
The other half of the septic--the tank (with man holes) is also in!
I have never been so excited about the potty--I am just so glad we can have one since it wasn't an easy process to get the permits!
During Fire Prevention Week at school, the local helicopter crew brought the rescue chopper in for all of our students to take a look-Gwen obviously wasn't there, but she loves the pictures!
Wyatt loves that the fire trucks came too!
My 3 best buddies!
My how time flies!  The walls were poured for the basement within a week and a half of the first picture and now the forms get to be taken off and brought to another job.  Next step...basement floor
We love Fall Break!  While off from school for a day, Gwen begged to make more play dough...Everyone got the chance to help!  We loved playing with our new orange play dough--Gwen loved molding things, while Wyatt liked cutting out trucks and more trucks!
Our parade pro was a cowgirl for the preschool float in the Chrisney Parade
A lot of kids and a lot of fun!-I'm just glad I wasn't in charge of this one :-)
All forms are off and gravel is down!  Next step...cement floor
It's pumpkin time!  Gwen was ready to carve away this year (with help!)  Here she is reenacting the carving.
What a big smile you have!
The Masterpiece!
Brad picked out a giant pumpkin this year, and what fun it was to clean out!
Our pumpkin family...It looks just like us! :-)
(mine sticks out a little being that it is white, but it smelled like cucumbers, so I won't complain!)
Happy Halloween!  Doc Mcstuffins and her broken horse were ready!
After seeing a Halloween show at Holiday World, Gwen just couldn't get the zombie song/dance out of her head!
Still a zombie!
The "twins" are still inseparable!

"O" is for October

We knew he were in October because the calendar said so and Gwen was learning all about the letter 'O' at school, but it really didn't feel like it outside.  We were out as often as we could be in the pleasantly cooler (but still not many times you need a coat) weather.

This looks about my size...I'll try it out just to see if I would fit...You were watching?
We have a footer!  As Brad explained to me..."This is the house's snowshoe" (but since we have rock under and next to the basement...I don't think we have to worry too much about sinking)
Adelaide visited us again and wow has she grown!  Gwen loved showing her new things!
During the first Halloween weekend at Holiday World, Wyatt finally had his turn riding the tiger!
And Gwen finally had her turn on the dolphin...which she named Winter
There was a pedal tracker course for the little ones at Holiday World and although Wyatt couldn't reach any of the pedals, we was determined to sit on every tracker they had!
There seems to be a trend in Gwen's interests this fall---we requested another butterfly tattoo at Holiday World...I just hope no real tattoos appear any time soon!
More fun at the building site!  The truck that was delivering sand for the septic system got itself stuck in the tracks of the cement mixer (not in cement-just mud!).  The picture doesn't do the situation justice, but the truck's front bumper was in mud, as well as half the tire.  Wyatt was thrilled to have Uncle Bill come with one of his big tractor's to come pull the truck out!
All the grandparents were able to join us at a pumpkin patch this year.  We ventured off to a "new to us " pumpkin patch in Kentucky.  It was an extremely windy day, but that didn't stop Gwen and Wyatt from exploring everything from the wagons at the front door to the corn maze!
So, how do I drive this thing?  Like this?
I think I will just take a seat here for a minute

Go Ducky!  Go!  Bubba, Gwen and Brad raced rubber ducks while....
Wyatt found another "tractor" to drive
Vroooom!

These two are around animals all the time, between our family goat business, Bill's hog farm, Paul's hogs and cattle, Phillip's cattle, not to mention all the pets we have had (Pooka-dog, Nimbus-cat, Patches and Bolt-bunnies, and Gilly-fish) ....but show them a petting zoo with baby animals and they are still super excited!
Wyatt making friends with a calf
Gwen giving a piglet some attention
Once done visiting the animals and checking out the bees that they had, Wyatt and Gwen were ready for more action!
Wyatt must have slid down this slide about 6 times by himself and he still wasn't ready to quite!  Thank goodness it wasn't crowded that day and we didn't have to share!

Gwen even took off her boots to get more speed!
After the slide, the gang headed for some big kid racers!
Corn-when I think of an ear of corn, I think of grilling it and how great it tastes.  Not Gwen.  She sees a microphone and an opportunity to perform for a captive audience! And look, they even had a stage for her!
A successful pumpkin patch find!  The perfect Gwen size pumpkin!
And Wyatt found the perfect Wyatt size pumpkin!
Where there is a face hole...Gwen will find it!  Happy pumpkin finding!
What pumpkin patch experience is complete without a pony ride?  Gwen felt like she was riding a My Little Pony!

Wyatt didn't quite know what to think about this horse thing at first, but he got the hang of it quickly. I am sure he will be running to get on the horse the next chance he gets!
With Daddy already ahead of us with his wagon full of 2 giant pumpkins, we took our time looking for the perfect pumpkins to carve
One exciting day leaves these kiddos worn out...
too bad they were just pretending for the camera!

Back at Gram and Poppy's later in the week....
Tractor driving is a serious business!
But it is definitely fun!
My Poppy
Daddy just thinks he is in charge....I am secretly planning my take over!
