From Gwen's perspective

Do you ever wonder what it is like to look through the eyes of a 3 year old? Well, here is a glimpse into Gwen's view of life...

Gwen explains our family...this was news to me :-)
Just one of many bedtime stories...

Wyatt's many firsts!

Just this past month, Wyatt has decided it was a good time for many firsts...
a first haircut--he was getting a little too much on top, so I gave him a little trim

Not just the 1st tooth came in, but also the second
He can sit all by himself!
Bring on the rice cereal--this time in a bowl!
First signs of a sense of humor!

We also had our first ear infection--but there are no good pictures of us not sleeping.

Wyatt is 5 months old!?!?!?!?!

Yes he is! I can't believe Wyatt is 5 months already, but time flies when you are growing like a weed!!!!! I weighed him the other night and he is officially 17 lbs. (I was off by one on my guess!). He is battling a bad case of eczema and he just had his first tooth pop through on Saturday (the other bottom one will be here very soon), but you would never know it just looking at that happy face!
"I'm 5 months old!"
At a family reunion last weekend, Brad taught Gwen how to shoot a toy gun...she was a little too good at this
It's back to school time for us, I started working in my rooms to get ready this week and guess who came to help me Monday? Yep, Gwen and Wyatt!!!!! Wyatt gave his input on the decorations while lounging on the floor...
Gwen was a little more hands on. She liked to hold the things while I put them up. Thanks for all your help!
"Thanks for the cookies Gammy!"
To celebrate the start of another school year, and Gwen starting preschool, Gammy sent us a Cookie Bouquet!
Wyatt
Wyatt always seems to know he has a good thing going for him! Even when Gwen is a little bit much, he is still smiling!
"Anyone for some music?"
We went under the sea for some fun at Holiday World
And some bumping around in the bumper boats... Just to make sure we got some fun in before school starts
But all that fun can make you very tired
(especially when you don't take a nap)

Happy 5 year Anniversary!

5 years ago today...I said "I do" and promised to be Brad's wife, best friend, and partner on life's journey. A lot has changed in the last 5 years....Gwen and Wyatt (and Pooka too) are now part of our family, we have lived in one apartment and 2 houses, we moved south, I finished graduate school, we've gotten or changed jobs...but that promise is still as strong today as it was that Saturday. Thank you Brad for being with me through it all. I have loved the last 5 years and can't wait to see what the future holds for us! I'll love you always and forever!

Gwen just didn't understand why I received a gift tonight and she didn't.

Never A Dull Moment!

Since having to take over the responsibilities of being Mom again after my nanny had to go home, I haven't had much time for blogging. Sorry. Here is a recap of the fun we had in July and now in August! Gwen has yet another ear infection (her left tube came out mid July), but doesn't seem to be bothered too much by it. She still is playing strong! Wyatt is doing great! After my surgery we had to switch him to formula because I just couldn't keep up with my big eater. Amazingly, when I asked our pediatrician what formula to try her response was, "whatever kind you want." After all the issues and special diets I did, Wyatt gets to be on regular formula!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, but was extremely happy about it! He doesn't seem to mind the change; he's just happy to eat! The stats on both of them now are: Gwen 37 inches and 39 lbs and Wyatt is ~25 inches and ~18 lbs. I go back to work starting Monday, so our summer break together is almost over!!!!
Tea Time! Gwen was learning from the best on how to have a tea party. Check out the pinkie!
While being our nanny, Gammy spent a lot of time hanging out with Wyatt (since he eats every 3 hours!)
Daddy and Gwen love to play with play dough together. This particular day they were making unicorns!
"I'm a burrito! I did it all by myself!"
"This is my Sophie, and she is so fun!!!" Wyatt is chewing everything, so out came the chew toys!
"Hi Pooka, do you want to clean my hand?" Sometimes we wonder if Pooka thinks Wyatt is her puppy.
"Gram had a yard sale and we wanted to help. I was pricing..."
Gwen was making sure the T. V.'s worked and wanted Wyatt to help her watch
Here comes the bride!
Check out these cool dudes!
Gwen and I practiced cutting to get ready for preschool!
Wyatt liked reading his book and watching the confetti being made
We bring the stroller in for a minute and look what happens!
Wyatt has now mastered rolling from his back to his front and is doing great with tummy time!
Gwen and Wyatt (and I) were invited to Denver's birthday party! It was at Scales Lake which has a petting zoo and a beach! I have the pictures from the zoo, but I will get the pictures from the beach soon.
"Here you go...do you like bread?"
Wyatt really liked the goats!
As did Gwen
Wyatt's new favorite sleeping position
Having a great time together!
Wyatt loves to play Peek-a-boo!
