Carving it up!

We had a great time Monday night carving pumpkins! We bedazzled Gwen's too!
Gwen worked hard to get her pumpkin just right!
Tada! The finished product
Mommy's pumpkin
Daddy's pumpkin
Wyatt's pumpkin (done by Daddy)
My little pumpkins
Wyatt is too goofy! (I had just put clean socks on-I promise)
Pumpkin decorating isn't complete without a little shape sorting:-)

Pumpkin Patch...Here we come!!!

This weekend Bubba and Gammy came to visit to join us for our now annual Pumpkin Patch Trip!!!!!!
Wyatt practiced his new tricks...learning to drink water from a sippy cup and scooting
Gwen, Gammy, and I made an apple pie with apples from the local orchard--Yum!!!
Bubba and Gwen loved reading together before bed and playing when it was time to be awake
"You mean I can't drive? I'm a big boy now...I can do it!"
Wyatt wanted to see this pumpkin patch so bad, he tried to drive
We went to corn maze first when we arrived at the pumpkin patch. Every year they make a huge maze with short, medium, and long paths. This year's short path was "Colts" written in the corn...we made it through the "s" and then ended up back where we started so we moved on to other things.
There were old tractors everywhere, so we had to sit on one!!!
Gwen and Gammy took a potato sack ride down a HUGE slide!
Joey may need to provide some lessons, Gammy and Bubba never did rope a steer. But, it was great to watch!!!!!
Gwen could have dug for hours!!!!!
"Pumpkins are just like drums! I can make music on them too!"
"Go Daddy Go!!! Go Gwenie Go!!!!"
Who doesn't love a face cut out! If you have Casey genes you seem to be a big fan!
A trip to the pumpkin patch would not be complete without a pony ride! Our little professional loved her ride on Buttercup this year
Cotton candy! A new discovery and a new favorite! Somehow we managed to eat it without turning blue!
Wyatt attempted to crawl across the table to have my lunch...he was determined and ended up with the popcorn bag!
A trip to the farm animal zoo is always a hit! Gwen and Bubba loved checking out the family of pigs in the house and the baby goats.
And to complete our trip....we headed off on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch!!!!!
Wyatt thought the gourd looked pretty tasty!
Gwen helped Gammy find odd shaped green gourds after finding her perfect pumpkin!
Back from the great pumpkin hunt...Gwen found another AMAZING surprise! A pink coal miner hat! She, and Brad, had to have it!
Last, but certainly not least, Wyatt started to officially crawl today!!!!!!!!!

Wyatt is trying to get motivated enough to crawl...although he enjoys a break to play on the ipad!

Gram had some fun taking some fall pictures.....

The little things...

As surprising as it may be, sometimes we aren't up to much around here. Lately we all haven't been our healthiest between allergies, colds, and now ear infections. We had to call the doctor yesterday after hours because Gwen was still running a fever and we ended up meeting our pediatrician in the parking lot of CVS at 7:30! She checked both of them, called in an antibiotic and we walked inside CVS and picked it up. It was like a drive-thru doctor's appointment!!!!! I'm happy to report that we all slept much better last night! But, despite all of this going on, we have still managed to have some laughs and fun! It really it the little things that make life great!
"7 months and growing strong!"
"I just wanted to check if it was real...it's not"
"I can fly!!!!!!"
"Check out these moves...or at least the steady stance"
Wyatt has now been introduced to peas and green beans:-) He is loving it! I tried to make my own, but he wasn't happy with the pea skins that I just couldn't mash up enough. So, for now we are buying baby food, but I will probably have to go back to making my own once we start the mixed foods to avoid the eggs.
Gwen was all about decorating for Halloween--we have learned an important lesson lately; some stickers are okay for windows but not all (and definitely not tattoos!)!
After eating all his green beans, cereal, and having his milk....Wyatt was full and out!
Still decorating!
Gwen the entertainer now juggles, or at least tries to...
Wyatt is making huge attempts to crawl!
Mr. Wyatt has the giggles :-)
My little frogs as so much fun!

Gwen's Quotes:
G: "Mommy, I don't want to share [my story]! I have my own!" (said during a song at church with the lyrics 'we have come to share our story...')

G: "Widdle we, widdle we, we. I see something you don't see, and the color is yellow."
D: "Grass?"
G: "No! A cornbind!!!!!"

M: "Gwen, make a wish" (she had an eyelash on her cheek and she was complaining her belly, ear, and eyes hurt and she was coughing like crazy)
G: "I wish for a blue house"

October has only just begun!

Only a few days into October and we are having a great time! Last weekend Gwen, Wyatt, Gram, and I did a 5K. We walked, I am not much of a runner, and had a great time.
Gwen is ready to roll
Wyatt decided a 5K nap was a great idea
Awards were given out after the race...who knew you can win a medal for coming in 2nd...to last! I can in 1st for the walkers of my age group! Too funny! They even gave Wyatt a medal (they had extras made)
Gwen got one too!
Later that afternoon we went to Sophia's birthday party at Santa's Stables!!!!!
Gwen helped feed the horses some hay
Gwen rode Socks around all by herself!
Look at Sophia and Gwen! They are such big girls!
Gwen and her new buddy
After some riding, we all went on a hay ride!!!!
Wyatt really liked the hay
Gwen thinks even the hay ride is a roller coaster!
We introduced Wyatt to peas on Sunday...He's not a big fan yet, but we'll keep trying.
