Wyatt is 4 months!

Even though I am not up to much, that certainly doesn't mean the rest of our family isn't up to no good! Wyatt is now 4 months old and still growing strong! He is such a happy camper all the time, so smiley, and so cute! Gwen is as active as ever and keeping Gammy very busy while she is here helping me out.
"I am such a ham!"
"Look at me! I am flying!"
"4 months old and loving it!"
"Check it out...I can sit with the bumbo! And I chew everything in sight!""
"Gammy and I made green pudding pops! DELICIOUS!"
"There is a very handsome little baby in that mirror! Can you see him too?"
Our chefs busy in the kitchen! (I just wish I could enjoy their marvelous cooking too!)

Gwen's Quotes:
G: "Oh yeah! This is gonna be good!" (said as we are leaving to go see the alligators in Florida)

G: "Don't worry, Mom! I won't fall out I'm buckled!" (said as she opened the car door as we are driving!)

G: "Just beep at them, Dad! There are too many cars!" (as we are stuck in traffic on the highway)

G: "Not that one either!" (when I was trying to guess what word she was saying--turned out it was 'chairs')

G: "Kelley, look at my mouth!" (Kelley wasn't understanding her)

B: " Gwen are you okay"
G: "I'm okay....I opened the door" (after she walked into the glass door after opening the screen door)

G: "Mommy, these blueberries are yucky!" (they actually were black olives)

Happy Belated 4th of July!

Since I am recovering from yesterday's tonsillectomy, I have some down time to update the blog and work on the computer some. I am not able to talk more than a whisper. My diet is apple sauce, jello, and Gatorade. Gwen has been hanging out with Gram and Wyatt just came back home this afternoon from being with Gram. Needless to say, the house is extremely quiet! Thank goodness my mom is here to help me...I don't know what I would do without her. She is on top of everything! Reminding me when to take my medicine, when to eat, and now taking care of Wyatt for me! I wish I hadn't needed this surgery, but at least I have the help to get me through the next 2 weeks of recovery!

Some more exciting things....Wyatt's 4 month check up went very well last week. He is now 14 lbs. 10 oz (31st %ile) and 25 inches (38th %ile)! He looks great and is such a happy baby! He is almost sleeping through the night, occasionally waking to eat around 2 am, but most often just wanting his paci back and then he drifts off to sleep again. During the day he still is taking about 3 1-2 hour naps. Gwen is all action. She loved Florida and was all about heading to Chicago last week. I don't know if she really likes the car that much, but she loves watching movies! She is definitely full of energy and only stops to sleep.

After returning home from Florida, I quickly unpacked and repacked for Chicago for the weekend. We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone, and we loved getting to see all my family at the Casey's 2nd of July Party!!!!! Just a few pictures of the weekend...
Kelley tried to teach Gwen how to hula hoop!

We squeezed in a family photo shoot in before the party--Thanks Jim and Sue they turned out amazing!
All our Casey crew!
Bubba and Gammy and their grand babies
The stars of the show!
The McKenzies :-)
The Tempels :-)
At the party...
During the party Gwen and Collin tried learning to share.
Sunday was all about fun. Gwen had brought water balloons just to attack Bubba with!!!!! They never did pop when she hit him!
Everyone enjoyed the splash pad!
When Lilly and Wyatt were done, Gwen showed off her moves!
After such a long day...Gwen slept really well!

Monday we drove back home and made it just in time to meet up with some of the Tempel's to celebrate the 4th of July and watch fireworks.
Who's taller now? I think it is a very close race
Wyatt was loving being out of the car seat and being held by everyone!
