Happy 4th of July!!!!

4th of July week was one of the hottest weeks of the summer!  Of course, it also was the week that the trailer on our future home's property was finally disappearing.  We hired a few guys from about an hour away, and let's just say they are some of the roughest country men I have ever met!  It was a mix of a 75 year old man from somewhere in Kentucky with a very thick accent, no teeth, and a pacemaker, his son who barely spoke a word, and a grandson in his mid 30s all covered in tattoos. I could barely understand any of them, but they came with a recommendation and a will to work.  Despite the heat, this is the trailer after a few days on the job.  They were taking it apart piece by piece to sell everything they could.

A few more days and more progress....
This was a great site to see at the beginning of their 2nd week! The rest of the job was clean up at this point.
A little play time prior to a much needed cooling and fun swim lesson
While the guys at the trailer were hard at work and sweating like crazy...Gwen, Wyatt and I were chilling at swim lessons:-)
Wyatt loved Gwen's swim lessons too...it was a time for him to play at the playground and swim in the baby pool
A year later and Amber (Gwen's swim teacher) picked up where they left off together the year before.
Look Mom!  I'm gonna touch it!
All cool from swimming, we usually headed back to check out how progress was coming at the land.  This particular day was a very special treat....
The land was getting cleared!!!  Since we are planning to build at the back of the lot, we had to clear away some of the woods where the house will eventually sit.
By early afternoon, the trees were cleared and this is what it looked like:-)
Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!!
Who isn't glad to have a digital camera...otherwise this may have been the 4th of July pic of the year!
