More Cayman!

Since our last post, Gwen continued to amaze us in the pool. She figured out how to swim with her water wings, got a little goofy, and enjoyed the remainder of our vacation.
"Just keep swimming..."
"Just call me Captain Gwen"
"Daddy I'm stuck"
"I am loving this sand!"
"Daddy and I built a great sand castle! It was even big enough to put a chair in!"
"Bubba and Kelley joined me for a splash at the cove!"
"Now where are those crabs..."
"Sponge Bob visits Cayman too!"
"This turtle has a very hard shell"
"Mommy look a the turtles!"
Another wonderful picture taken by Gwen
Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!!
Happy Father's Day Bubba!!!!

Hello from Cayman!!!!!

We are having a great time on vacation in Cayman and just wanted to say a quick hello and show what fun we are having!!!!!
Somebody is excited to be on a plane and headed for the beach!!!!!!
Our Beach Babe
"Look I am a little star fish!"
"An ice cream cone for you!"
Swimming doesn't get any better than this!
"Daddy buried my legs!"
Back in the water and Brad is already goofing around and having fun!
The best view out there!
"See you all soon!!!! Until then, we'll be loving the beach life!!!!"

Just a glimpse of our dive at Sunset House. It has been great diving so far and we can't wait to get back out there tomorrow!
Gwen can't get enough of the water and is having a blast at the beach!

Don't blink!!!!

If Gwen has taught me one thing already this summer, it is not to blink or turn around for a second! From the scariest moments of Gwen almost running into the road (which is the reason a fence has been added to our projects this summer) to the funniest moments; Gwen always keeps us on our toes and watching her like a hawk. Life moves fast, and if you don't move with it (or Gwen) you will miss it! Share in some of our Funny Moments from this week!
Gotcha!
Brad and I were laughing about something in the kitchen when Gwen came running in from the other room with the camera and snapped this picture of Brad!
Water, Water everywhere!!!!
Gwen is loving the warm weather and playing in the pool. While doing yard work last weekend, Gwen was playing nicely...

The next minute I was getting attacked!!!!!
Hammer like Manny!
Last weekend's project was to build a wall around Gwen's playground, and she was ready and willing to help! I drilled the holes, Gwen brought over and put in the "big nail" and started hammering it in, and Brad finished driving the stake in. What a group effort!
Clothed and playing in the sand one minute... I turn around the next minute and this is what I found!!!!

Side Note: We started potty training again, and this time it is going great!!!! Gwen is still having some accidents, but since starting Sunday she has been using the potty on her own most times!!!!! Maybe by vacation she will have it down!

May Craziness!

Bubba and Kelley came for a visit last weekend and we had a blast!!!
Bubba played with Gwen's new "thing" which got lots of laughs!
Gwen played too!
Gwen and Kelley did some baby yoga! Pooka too!
A little out of order, but still fun:
Today's tickle-fest!!!!!! Can't get much better on a rainy day!
Gwen is such a Cool Dude!!!! And so cute while learning to do a thumbs up!
Dance Kelley!!!!! Gwen is definitely the champ of this duel!

If I Weren't A Mother...

I would drink coffee because I like the taste, not because I need the caffeine

I would get more sleep at night

I would have more room in the house for my toys

I would have smaller purses

I wouldn't have so many cute little clothes and shoes

I wouldn't have a kitchen helper

I wouldn't know so much about Dora, Mickey Mouse, or Handy Manny

I wouldn't take so many pictures

I wouldn't be writing this blog

I would only have Brad and furry friends

I wouldn't smile or laugh so much

I wouldn't get great squeezes and kisses

I wouldn't be a horse and give rides

I wouldn't blow bubbles all day

I wouldn't think about jumping in puddles

I wouldn't run around outside

I wouldn't talk so much

I wouldn't have a Mini-Me

I wouldn't have a heart so full of love....

Thank you Gwen for giving me all of this and so much more!!!!!!!! I love being your Mommy!!!!
(and thanks Aimee for this idea!)

Getting to see EVERYONE in one weekend!!!!! Amazing!!!!

Whew!!!!!!! What a weekend!!!!!! It was one of those weekends where everyone was having so much fun that the time just flew by!!!!!! We started in Lafayette Saturday evening for Cowboys Against Cancer--an event organized by our very own Uncle Joey!!!!!!! Gwen loved the rodeo; even with the rain! It was hard to tell what her favorite part was...
"Yee Haw!!!!"
Riding Charlie 5 times!
(Every pony was named Charlie according to Gwen and Ashley Beth--you are one dedicated Aunt to walk in the rain with her! Thanks!)
Getting to be a cowgirl!
Being Poppy's #1 buddy!
Seeing Uncle Joey ride a bull!!!!!! And in person!!!!!
Hanging out with all the Tempel gang!!!!!!!

Shooting match before hitting the road! Love the giggles!
Charlie and Gwen--a match made in heaven!!!!!
Joey and the bull!

After a fun filled Saturday night, we had an early start Sunday to make it to another big event...Lilly's baptism! Gwen had a wonderful nap during the whole ceremony (which was so nice!) and Lilly was a perfect angel! Brad and I are so honored to be Lilly's Godparents and Gwen is so excited to be the Godcousin! The whole day was wonderful and we just loved getting to spend time with all our family!
Lilly's big day!
"No party is complete without cake!"
"I'll help you, Lilly. I know exactly what to do with these."

Gwen was wonderful the whole trip; we just wish it could have been longer with everyone! Once home we set out on a walk to stretch and Gwen put herself to bed :-) Now we are back to our usual business, but I had to add one more picture...Gwen has named it:
"Daddy's toy"
Brad's new to him motorcycle

Playing in the rain

Puddles, puddles everywhere!
After a full day of rain, I couldn't resist letting Gwen play in the puddles! (knowing bath time was just around the corner of course)
